Ekaterina Borchenko

Honored Artist of Russia

Born in Leningrad in 1982.
Graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet.

In 2000-2003, was principal dancer of the Moscow Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theatre.

In 2003-2007, was principal dancer of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belorussia, Minsk.

Joined the Mikhailovsky Ballet in 2008.

Tour with the ballet company in Japan, UK, USA, Germany, Finland, Latvia.

On the Opera Roma’s stage danced as Odette/Odile and Kitri.

Among her partners are Friedemann Vogel (principal dancer with the Stuttgart Ballet), Vadim Muntagirov (principal dancer with Royal Ballet Covent Garden) Ivan Vasiliev (principal dancer with Mikhailovsky theatre, principal dancer with American Ballet Theatre, guest principal with La Scala), Guillaume Cote (principal with The National Ballet of Canada).


First prize at the all Japan ballet competition in Nagoya in 2007;

Silver medal at the International Ballet Competition in Varna in 2006;

Diploma of the X Moscow International Ballet Competition;

The premium of the Petersburg Government “The Youth Prize of St Petersburg for Creativity”.
